About Our Auto Repair Shop
Juergen Kirberg founded Kirberg Motors, Inc. on May 1, 1967, in San Francisco. Juergen was the west coast factory representative for Porsche until the factory operations merged with Volkswagen of America. Starting in a basement location on Sacramento Street and later moving to a larger facility on Fillmore Street, Kirberg Motors thrived for sixteen years. The auto repair shop then moved to the new location in Belmont in 1983.
Juergen’s son, Ralph, joined the company in 1978. After many summers working under the watchful eye of the working technicians, a career in the automotive industry was a natural. Together father and son ran the business for several years, prior to and after the move to the present location in Belmont. Juergen retired from day-to-day operations in 1995.
Ralph Kirberg opened the doors to the new Kirberg Motors April 1, 1983. He built a new customer base that expects quality service and repair in a prompt and timely fashion. We designed the products and services to make one-stop shopping possible. We offer a purchase consultation in addition to all mechanical and maintenance repairs. This includes a diagnosis if your check engine light comes on. We continue to prioritize convenience and efficiency for all customers.
